Times are tough, especially for the kinds of seasonal jobs normally occupied by young people and students. In many ways those jobs are subject to sudden shocks; for instance many such jobs in Toronto have been put on hold due to the strike of city workers. There are still, however, some jobs that, while perhaps not fully “recession-proof,” are still available for young people.
