The way to get a job is by networking with people, being you; the resume is only a backup document … it’s networking with people and connecting with them that’s going to get you in front of them, and that’s how you get job opportunities.

I work with people so they can find a career that they love; so that when they get up every day, they are excited about what they’re going to go and do.

Just because you’re skilled at something, don’t get caught thinking that that’s what you should do. What you want to do is look at the skills you’ve got that when you use them, you love the results that show up.
If you look at what doesn’t work, you’re not going to get real clues about what does work. Instead, look at where you’ve gone right.

A book can’t make you pick it up and do the work, but a coach holds you accountable … it keeps you honest to your commitment to find for you that career and job that will make you get up every morning and say, “yahoo, I get to go play today!”
